Conversations are saved only on your device. We don’t train on them, store them, or read them. We couldn’t if you asked; they live on your phone or computer, not on our servers.

Your data isn’t the product here.
To write a reply, your message travels through our relay to our AI provider and back. Our relay’s logs contain only your account ID, token counts, and cost. Never message content.

We never train on your conversations. For the open-weight models we serve, our provider’s published policy is that inputs and outputs are held in memory only while the reply is generated, then deleted, and API data is never used for training.

What does “private” actually mean here?
Where your chats live: only on your device, in your browser’s storage. Nothing is saved on our servers. Use the one-tap export to back up your chats; browsers can occasionally clear storage (Safari especially), so export anything you want to keep.
And we’ll say the awkward part too: Glass City AI is not end-to-end encrypted. To generate a reply, the provider’s servers must see your words briefly, in memory. And anyone with access to your unlocked device can read your chats: use your device lock.
Where does the AI run?
The open models behind Glass City AI (the DeepSeek, GLM, and MiMo families) run on servers in the United States operated by DeepInfra, a US company. The GLM models are published by Z.ai, a company based in China; your conversations are processed in the United States and are not sent to Z.ai or to any other AI model developer.
Who is it for?
Households and small offices in the Toledo metro. Parents, students, remote workers, and small teams who want an assistant without handing over their data. We’re starting here, and we’ll grow city by city.

We don’t send marketing email today. No newsletter, no mailing list, nothing scheduled.
