How we handle your data.

The short version is on our home page: your chats stay yours. Here is the full version, in plain words.

  1. Where your chats live: only on your device, in your browser’s storage. Nothing is saved on our servers. Use the one-tap export to back up your chats; browsers can occasionally clear storage (Safari especially), so export anything you want to keep.
  2. What passes through our relay: to write a reply, your message travels through our relay to our AI provider and back. Our relay’s logs contain only your account ID, token counts, and cost. Never message content.
  3. Training: we never train on your conversations. For the open-weight models we serve, our provider’s published policy is that inputs and outputs are held in memory only while the reply is generated, then deleted, and API data is never used for training (deepinfra.com/data-privacy).
  4. Where the AI runs: the open models behind Glass City AI (the DeepSeek, GLM, and MiMo families) run on servers in the United States operated by DeepInfra, a US company. The GLM models are published by Z.ai, a company based in China; your conversations are processed in the United States and are not sent to Z.ai or to any other AI model developer.
  5. Our model commitment: we serve only models whose providers don’t store or train on your data. If we ever add one that doesn’t meet that bar, this page will say so before that model answers anyone.
  6. What we don’t claim: Glass City AI is not end-to-end encrypted. To generate a reply, the provider’s servers must see your words briefly, in memory. And anyone with access to your unlocked device can read your chats: use your device lock.
  7. Tracking: no Meta Pixel or ad tracking in the chat app, ever. Marketing pages may carry disclosed analytics later; we’ll say so on the page.
  8. Email: we don’t send marketing email today. No newsletter, no mailing list, nothing scheduled. If that changes, this page will name the exact provider and the unsubscribe link before the first message goes out. To reach us, write hello@getglasscityai.com. An AI assistant reads messages first and handles routine replies on its own from time to time; a person reviews the inbox and answers anything that needs one. Ask for a human and you’ll get one.
